In the United States, he furthered his training at the studio of renowned Venezuelan master Abdón Romero, based in Florida.
In 2010, he created several large-scale permanent artworks for the Cathedral of San Pedro in Caracas and opened his own gallery in Tinaquillo. His multidisciplinary practice includes acrylic and oil painting, mixed media, mural painting (including Buon Fresco), and sculpture in iron, resin, and ceramics. His public artworks are installed permanently in cities across Venezuela and the United States.
Muzzarelli has exhibited his work in solo and group exhibitions in Venezuela, the United States, Spain, and Italy. He has received more than 81 awards throughout his career—58 of them in the U.S. since relocating there in 2013—including numerous top prizes in national and international art shows.
